Paul McCartney
Paul recently lent his support to the WSPA's Animals Matter
Campaign, calling for governments of the world to support a Universal
Declaration on Animal Welfare and acknowledge that animals can suffer
and feel pain. This year WSPA is highlighting the cruelty of Norway's
whale hunt. Here are Paul’s thoughts on the matter: "It's time
to end the cruel slaughter of whales and leave these magnificent
creatures alone. The best future for our relationship with whales is
watching, not hunting. In the 21st century how can we even contemplate
killing whales or any animal in such barbaric ways? Governments should
act on their responsibilities and protect these beautiful
creatures."
