Today, Paul and his daughter Mary visited the Linda McCartney Foods factory in Fakenham to taste some new products in development. Returning to Linda's Kitchen, a dedicated test kitchen within the factory, the McCartney family continue to take an active role in the development of the meat-free range to ensure Linda's legacy continues on.

The frozen food brand, manufactured by Hain Celestial is experiencing growth of +25% year on year and is now one of the fastest growing frozen vegetarian brands in the UK. In addition to three new product launches in early 2010 (Linda McCartney Meatballs with Pasta, Linda McCartney Chilli with Potato Wedges and Linda McCartney Vegetarian Cannelloni) in August this year Hain Celestial relaunched the new and improved Linda McCartney Vegemince.

Previously sold under the Realeat brand (recently being 'highly commended' in the 2010 Cook Vegetarian! Awards), Hain Celestial decided to re-brand the Vegemince‚ under its iconic British vegetarian brand, Linda McCartney Foods. This new product as well as the Linda McCartney Mozzarella Quarter Pounder Burgers, launching this month, are welcome additions to the already established range of the Linda McCartney meat-free products available, including the UK's no. 1 selling Vegetarian Sausage, Country Pie and Vegetarian Lasagne. From its inception in 1991 to today, the iconic brand offers wholesome vegetarian food that is full in flavour and nutrition; recipes are kept simple and natural, and products are free from genetically modified ingredients, artificial flavours, preservatives and hydrogenated fats.

Linda McCartney enabled people to have confidence, enthusiasm and know-how to prepare home-cooked meat-free meals for all the family. She believed in encouraging people to be creative cooks, supporting and equipping them in their quest to eat less meat whilst still being able to enjoy delicious and wholesome meals. As well as tasting a number of new dishes Sir Paul and Mary will also be taking to the Kitchen to create a few of their own favourite vegetarian dishes, as well as a full visit around the factory which today employs 223 employees.
