'You Gave Me The Answer' – Anastasia from Russia asks…

28.04.2014

Spring has finally arrived here in London and people are starting to spill outside into the many parks to enjoy the warmer weather. We love this time of year and hanging out with friends on the grass (plus it gives us a chance to see what people are reading!).

For many, spring can be a particularly inspiring and exciting time of year influencing countless poets, writers and artists. And that brings us nicely to this month’s question sent in by Anastasia from Russia, who asks:

“Who are your favourite British writers and poets?”

We caught up with Paul just before he jetted off to Latin America to continue his ‘Out There’ tour to find out. He answered:

“Thank you for your question, Anastasia. I’ve always been a big fan of British writers, but two of my favourites are Charles Dickens & Dylan Thomas.”

Paul is an avid reader previously revealing his favourite book as Charles Dickens’ ‘The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby’ during a Twitter Q&A last October.

The trivia-minded folk among you may also recall that Dylan Thomas, the Welsh poet and writer, appears on the cover of The Beatles’ ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band’.

We’d love to know some of your favourite British writers. Let us know in the comments below...
