Sticking Out of My Back Pocket - The animals have the right of way

12.04.2024

Springtime heralds the return of vibrant Wildlife, with nature stirring from winter slumber. As we embrace the longer days and clearer skies, what better way to celebrate the awakening of the animal world around us than through music?

This isn’t the first time our 'Sticking Out of My Back Pocket' playlist has returned to natural roots, as we headed into ‘The Heart of the Country’ to celebrate Paul and Linda McCartney's timeless album RAM and we even explored the melodic allure of Paul’s many birdsongs.

So when we asked Paul earlier this year to share his most meaningful encounter’s with animals, it sparked another journey through his musical repertoire that could constitute an album in its own right.

From London Town’s lesser known ‘Morse Moose and The Grey Goose’ to the iconic frog chorus in ‘We All Stand Together’. Paul’s love for animals transpires in his music, infusing it with a sense of joy and reverence for the natural world. So put a spring in your step as we take a wild encounter in this month's playlist.
