The 20th studio recording by Paul McCartney since The Beatles, and follow-up to 2001's platinum-selling Driving Rain . The songs are stripped-down and direct, with Paul performing and recording every instrument himself (including fluglehorn and harmonium!), with the help of co-producer Nigel Godrich. The songs range from classic up-tempo rockers such as 'Fine Line' and 'Promise To You Girl' to darkerballads, and a touch of characteristic nostalgia in the form of 'Jenny Wren'.
