The official Album Songbook to accompany Wings' seventh album –* London Town*, had an interesting gestation, which involved the departure of two members, a pregnancy, writing a song for Michael Jackson ('Girlfriend') and recording one of the biggest selling singles of all time in the shape of' Mull of Kintyre' (released before the album was completed, the single only appears on London Town in the 1993 reissue version). Despite its title, the album was recorded in the Virgin Islands, not least because of the weather.
