Book Notes

Wingspan is the soundtrack to how Paul McCartney dared to follow The Beatles, featuring both tracks from his hugely successful early solo career (1970 – 1984) and classics performed as Wings. This album songbook features 40 songs, including 17 hits that sold more than a million copies. Wingspan was launched in tandem with a two-hour film of the same name that tells the intimate inside story of Wings for the first time on television. It candidly reveals how Paul and Linda tried to raise a young family and front a new band against the handicaps of creating a post-Beatles band, controversial pot busts by police and bans by the BBC.
