Juanito Mendez entry 'Family Music' was selected by Paul to win the overall grand-prize in the McCartney & McCartney II artwork competition. Juanito has won an amazing prize including a signed print, $1000 and the chance to see Paul live in concert. Congratulations!

Artists and designers were invited to submit graphic art inspired by Paul's critically acclaimed solo albums ‘McCartney’ and ‘McCartney II." Paul would then choose the winner and two runners-up from all qualified submissions. We're here today to announce who the selected artists are!

Paul selected California native Sharon Miller's artwork for second place. She will receive the deluxe set of ‘McCartney’ and ‘McCartney II’ albums, a pair of tickets to an upcoming Paul McCartney concert, exposure by having her artwork featured on Paul McCartney’s social media channels and Adobe Creative Suite 5.

In third place is Bianca Olsen, of France, with her oil-pastel creation. She will also be receiving the deluxe set of ‘McCartney’ and ‘McCartney II', exposure by having her artwork featured on Paul McCartney’s social media channels and Adobe Creative Suite 5.

We’d also like to extend our gratitude to every artist who submitted to this project, as well as their supporters. We were all blown away by the talent.

Paul said ”They are inventive, inspiring…I’m honoured that my songs inspired them.  I love them and thank them.”

Inspired by the video Maybe I'm Amazed, Paul McCartney's instrument, a 4 string bass, reminds us of a time where a family lived a dream and a full life.
A bass of 4 strings and two of them represent his beloved Linda and himself, forming a heart, creating a union between themselves and two more strings; their children.
A musician who has amazed thousands of people around the world, being amazed by his own family.

This painting represents the line in Maybe I'm Amazed at the way you're with me all the time. I tried to show that no matter where we are or how time has gone by our love for our family and friends surrounds us even when we aren't aware of it sometimes. Paul thank you for reminding us that this is true. This painting is for you and I hope you enjoy it. It was done on 140 lb coldpressed watercolor paper and measures 16x20. and if I won this would be what I would want signed and hanging on my wall. Sincerely, Sharon Taraldsen Miller
