In a teaser trailer for his new book The Lyrics, Paul McCartney talks to Bob Mortimer about the inspiration for his song 'Rocky Racoon'. The conversation takes place at the British Library.

The Lyrics, publishing on 2 November, will tell the story of Paul McCartney’s life and art through the prism of 154 songs from all stages of his career.

To accompany the new book, the British Library has announced it will host a free display entitled Paul McCartney: The Lyrics (5 November 2021 – 13 March 2022), which will celebrate the songwriter and performer and feature previously unseen lyrics from his personal archive.

A Special Limited Edition copy of The Lyrics signed by Paul McCartney will be made available at select bookshops in the US and UK.
