‘Macca keeps adding new gems to his songbook, with nothing to prove except he’s the only genius who can do this... (And, oh yeah — in his spare time, he happens to still be the greatest live performer on Earth.)’
Paul Does Desert Trip - A Photo Round Up!
Paul has been dominating the desert over the past week with two star-studded performances at Desert Trip, a three day music festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
The first show took place on Saturday 8th October and included Paul inviting Neil Young onto the stage for a moving rendition of 'A Day In The Life'. The song sequed into 'Give Peace A Chance' resulting in a huge crowd sing-a-long. The pair then performed The Beatles track 'Why Don't We Do It in the Road?'.
The excitement didn't stop there though! A few days later, a surprise announcement was made... Paul would play his most intimate show of the record-breaking 'One On One' tour at Pappy & Harriet’s Pioneertown Palace. Check out photos from the show below:
Paul's family joined him for the second Desert Trip show on Saturday 15th October with daughter Mary perfectly capturing the mood - incuding duets with Rihanna and Neil Young - by taking over her dad's Instagram account. Check out Mary's brilliant shots below. (And don't forget you can see more of Mary's supercool photography on her Instagram and Twitter pages!)
Paul duetting with Rihanna on 'FourFiveSeconds':
As the dust (literally) settles following two magical musical weekends, Paul sent a special message of thanks:
"What a buzz rocking the Desert! Thank you Desert Trip, Neil Young, Rihanna, and everyone! Desert Trip you went by too fast!"
