Paul on John Frieda

Dear John Frieda has passed away, and it is the saddest thing.

Having known John since the 1960's, he always impressed me with his charm and wonderful sense of humour. He was a very elegant man, and whenever we met privately or at a concert, he and I had a lot of fun. His good looks stayed with him from the Sixties right through to the end.

I can't believe I am saying "the end", but it is unfortunately true. He leaves behind a loving family. He was a great father, husband, and a good, solid friend.

My family and I will always remember him fondly and cherish the twinkle in his eye. God bless John, and may his family and friends be as strong as he would have wanted us all to be.
