Today, the National Portrait Gallery launches an exclusive collection of prints, apparel and gift items to accompany Paul's unprecedented new exhibition, Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm.
Highlights of the new merchandise collection include limited edition collector’s prints of never-before-seen colour photographs, taken by Paul and personally selected by him for this range. Each print (20 x 16 inches) is hand numbered and signature stamped as part of an edition of 250, and is presented in an archival folio with a Certificate of Authenticity (£500). The prints have been produced by the official printer for the exhibition and are of the same exacting standard. Also available is an open edition, presenting a further four images from the exhibition, again presented in a branded archival black folio (£100).
A paperback version of Penguin's title 1964: Eyes of the Storm by Paul McCartney is available to purchase exclusively in the Gallery's on-site shops for the duration of the exhibition (£30), and a folding, double-sided concertina book (£14.95) has also been developed, featuring 24 photographs from the exhibition. With photographs handpicked by Paul, the book documents the band’s journey through six cities in the UK, Europe and America.
Alongside these key items sit an extensive range of apparel and exclusive gifts, including t-shirts and stationery, which utilise Paul’s handwriting, as well as mini-prints and more.
Paul McCartney Photographs 1963–64: Eyes of the Storm is showing at the National Portrait Gallery until 1 October 2023, the exclusive retail collection is available to purchase online and in-store at the Gallery for the duration of the exhibition, whilst stocks last.
