Paul’s new book Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run will be released as an audiobook on 18th December 2025, bringing to life the story of the band that helped define a generation.

The audiobook features a newly recorded introduction by Paul and is narrated by British actor Barry Sloane with performances by Amy Noble and John Sackville. Drawing on more than 42 hours of interviews, it is a rich oral history told in the words of those who lived it, including Linda McCartney, Denny Laine, John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, George Martin, Sean Ono Lennon, Chrissie Hynde, Dustin Hoffman, Twiggy, and every member of Wings across the years.

Paul’s daughters, Mary and Stella McCartney--who witnessed much of the Wings era firsthand—narrate their recollections exclusively for the audiobook, offering a rare, personal perspective on the band’s journey.

Described by The Guardian as “a brilliant story of post-Beatles revival” , Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run charts Paul’s bold creative reinvention in the decade after The Beatles. Edited by historian Ted Widmer, the story is built from new interviews and material from Paul’s own archive. It follows Wings from their DIY University tours to their era-defining albums, massive world tours, and the staggering success that saw them sell more than 22 million albums.

The audiobook deepens that legacy further by blending reflections and family voices into an immersive portrait of a band that reshaped the musical landscape of the 1970s.

Wings is published as an audiobook in the UK by Penguin Books and in the US and Canada by RBmedia. The audiobook releases on 18 December 2025 and is available to preorder now in the US/CAN here and in the UK here.
