The LIVE Q&A gave fans exclusive insights from Paul McCartney as he discussed his forthcoming album and songwriting process

Q: When was the last time you were in touch with Ringo?

A: Last week. We FaceTime eachother a lot. And he lives in LA,so if I'm in England, he's 8 hours behind. But it's lovely, you know, him and Barbara, his missus, it's just nice to catch up, see what he's doing. I chat to him quite regularly, lovely boy.

Q: Shiel asked, If you had a chance to go back in time, to any time period, where would you go?

A: I would go back to the '50's, 5'6 when Elvis arrived on the scene.

Q: From the Beatles Fan Club in Panama - After so many decades, what does it mean to see how much significance your music has to fans across the world?

A: It is phenomenal, it is really phenomenal, cause you know when we started out, we were just kids, and rock n' roll was just really coming in, and we thought 'if we're lucky, we've got a couple of years.'

That was how long people normally lasted, they couldn't really sustain much more after that. So we expected, maybe five max. And then that became ten, and we thought, "Oh yeah, we're still going, the scenes' still there." Then it became twenty, thirty, and now it's right up from thirty you know.

So, it's great. It is, it's a lovely feeling, that the music we thought would last for a couple of years, has lasted so long. And people come to me and say 'My kids love your music' - and that's something. Because the kids, you can't indoctrinate them. They just either like it, or they don't. So it's a good thing. But, I think The Beatles are the greatest band ever, I'm a fan.
